ATTORNEY MARCUS T. FOXX
“Seeing you through the trials of life.”
The Foxx Law Firm was born of necessity. We all experience times when we encounter trials and need assistance. When those needs bring people within the purview of our courts, competent representation is a necessity. Our mission is to see the members of our community through the various trials of life. Not just by trying cases, but by providing passionate representation and ardent advocacy to each client that enters our doors.
If you or a loved one has been charged with a crime, suffered an injury, experienced family changes, or found yourself in a legal dispute, call our office today. You need to know and defend your rights. We would be privileged to service that need.
Marcus T. Foxx is your trial attorney in times of need. Marcus is a native of Florida and graduate of the University of Florida. He began his studies at the Howard University School of Law in 2002. While a student at Howard University School of Law, he learned the true essence of the service that lies between the letters of the law. All Howard Law School graduates are taught a mantra coined by the school’s most esteemed dean and litigator. “A lawyer is either a social engineer or a parasite on society.” He adopted this creed as the basis for a career built on realizing justice through the practice of law.
He is not only a competent trial attorney, but a student of the law. While a student at Howard, Marcus received a Congressional Black Caucus award for his legal writing commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education case. He was elected to represent his peers as Graduate Student Assembly Representative. He honed his oral advocacy skills in national competition as a member of the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team. He also served as an editor on The Scroll, the university’s Social Justice Law Review. He challenged the student body on issues of service and political relevance as an editorial writer in the school’s news publication. These years were his foundation.
He is equipped to handle complex cases. In 2004, Marcus came to Mobile as a clerk for a complex litigation firm. He quickly embraced the city and the opportunity to learn the practice of law. As a returning young associate in 2005, he seized the opportunity to contribute to the profession. Working alongside proven trial attorneys, the young associate learned the intricacies of civil litigation. He also contributed to litigation of cases of first impression. He published two legal articles in as many years. He handled complex matters ranging medical malpractice to products liability. In 2008, he became a state attorney. After finding himself on the other side of the table, he vowed to defend the rights of others with skill and dogged perseverance.
He is a skilled criminal defense attorney. Marcus has tried dozens of jury trials to verdict. He has tried all forms of cases from misdemeanors to murders. He is proven. He also supervised alternative judicial programs. He remains an avid volunteer. He has received numerous awards for his efforts. He is a known resource to youth of all ages in the city of Mobile. A former board member of the Mobile Volunteer Lawyers Association, he understands our obligation to serve the communities we represent. He represents you.
Licensed to practice in Alabama.
